Scholarships

AFS Arizona Area Team Scholarships are needs-based awards designed to help bridge the gap between the total cost of an AFS program and funding available from other sources. Scholarship awards typically range from $500 to $5,000, depending on demonstrated financial need and available funds. These needs-based scholarships help Arizona students participate in AFS intercultural exchange and study abroad programs. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of donors across Arizona and are intended to reduce financial barriers for qualified students pursuing global education opportunities. Scholarship amounts vary, and not all applicants are guaranteed funding.

These scholarships may be applied toward the following AFS programs:

  • Summer High School Programs

  • Semester High School Programs

  • Year High School Programs

  • Gap Year Programs
